Once upon a time in Stockholm...

My husband Christer and I started The Coffee Machine in Sweden in 2004. It all began with a question. While travelling home with an espresso machine in the boot of our car purchased on holiday in Austria, we asked ourselves - where could we have bought this in Stockholm?

A lot has happened since then! When we first opened The Coffee Machine - a shop exclusively for coffee machines and coffee and all that goes with it - there was considerable scepticism about the idea. After six years in business and four shops in Sweden, we feel we are getting somewhere!

So what better than to generate yet more scepticism and open up shop in the UK - a nation of tea drinkers! That may have been the case in the past but look at the sheer number of cafés - chains and independents - and the quality of micro-roasters in the UK. This shows what interest and appreciation there is for great coffee, and yet - where could we have bought that espresso machine in London? Now we have the answer!

You can easily offer your guests coffee as good - or even better - than is offered in many cafés. Why not choose coffee as carefully as you choose fine ingredients or wine and invest in the equipment to make the very best of it? The coffee you offer reflects the home or organisation where it is served, and enjoyed!

Our goals have always been to achieve the highest quality - of products and service - and to help our customers find machines and coffee that will be used and loved. We have grown in experience and knowledge through constantly striving to fulfill these goals.

Coffee is so wonderful and there is so much to discover. Pay a little more for great beans and high quality equipment and enjoy the wide world of coffee. With a small budget you can do a lot. With a large budget you can do even more!
